Canadians Ready for E.bill

A survey conducted by Optus Corp. and the Angus Reid Group finds that Canadians are prepared for electronic bill presentment. According to the survey, some 53 percent of Canadians are aware of electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP) and 35 percent of Canadians are open to using it. Billing companies are also interested in using EBPP. Meanwhile, some 87 percent of companies say they are in discussions to deliver their customers bills over the Web, while 85 percent of companies surveyed indicated they intend to stop sending traditional paper statements sometime in the future.
