Settlement Doesn't Add Up for Arthur Andersen

Arthur Andersen is not satisfied with the terms of its divorce settlement with Andersen Consulting. The Big Five accounting firm was recently told by an arbitrator that it could only collect $1 billion instead of the $14 billion it had initially sought. For the partners at Andersen Consulting, the split carries significant implications. No longer will the firm's partners be entitled to partake of Arthur Andersen's revenues.
