Who Wants to Think Like a Millionaire?
Advisor Today (12/00) Vol. 95, No. 12 p.23; Staples, Edward

The 2000 Phoenix Wealth Management Survey conducted by Yankelovich Partners and funded by Phoenix Home Mutual Life indicates that millionaires find themselves time-deprived and struggling to meet commitments. Twenty-eight percent of millionaires worry about outliving their money, while 82 percent of millionaires dream of retiring early. The poll found that millionaires fall into three segments--senior corporate executives, business owners, and other wealthy individuals. Many millionaires said they are willing to pay more for service. Overall, respondents were torn between maintaining their standard of living and making sure their family's finances are protected. Meanwhile, 90 percent of senior corporate executives said that financial and estate planning are major concerns.
