Financial planners are finding that the key to designing a plan that offers their customers the maximum benefit lies in the details. Today's financial planners contend that personal information is important because it speaks to the investor's attitude toward money and provides a clearer understanding of their financial objectives. Planners like Guy Cumbie say that additional information such as where a person grew up and the occupation of their parents paints a more in-depth picture of a client's belief-system about money, and thus, makes it easier to design a plan that is best suited for that person.
