A recent Fidelity Investments survey indicated that high-net-worth investors are choosing to retain advisors based on portfolio performance rather than based on their relationship with them. Almost all of the investors surveyed indicated they were satisfied with their current advisor, but few claimed to be more satisfied than they were in 2002.
