eMarketer (10/22/02) Vol. 36, No. 10 p.147; Capon, Andrew

According to new findings by the Association for Financial Professionals, 73 percent of financial and treasury experts follow news related to their profession on the Internet. Additionally, "The Internet and the Changing Financial Services Marketplace" finds that 78 percent use the Internet to address questions. The vast majority of professionals, 91 percent, also report that their companies' services involve the Internet in some way. Specifically, 41 percent of those surveyed report looking at bank or financial sites on a daily basis. Of the news sites, fewer than 10 percent look at CBS Marketwatch, 15 percent visit the Wall Street Journal Online, and 20 percent look at Bloomberg.com each day; Bloomberg bolstered its Internet ads this year, as did Hoovers.com.
