Financial services professionals are expanding their businesses and forming strategic alliances with complementary practitioners in an effort to create one-stop shopping. CPAs are moving, quietly, into the financial planning market, and they are well prepared with a high level of client trust and details of their clients' financial status. Attorney Bruce W. Stephenson says that his CPA firm used to refer clients to insurance agents, lawyers, and investment advisers, but clients eventually said that they did not have time to deal with each new professional. The market is growing, with retirees getting ready to pass on assets and many new prosperous individuals looking for financial guidance.
