Financial services professionals are expanding their
businesses and forming strategic alliances with complementary
practitioners in an effort to create one-stop shopping. CPAs are
moving, quietly, into the financial planning market, and they are well
prepared with a high level of client trust and details of their clients'
financial status. Attorney Bruce W. Stephenson says that his CPA firm
used to refer clients to insurance agents, lawyers, and investment
advisers, but clients eventually said that they did not have time to
deal with each new professional. The market is growing, with retirees
getting ready to pass on assets and many new prosperous individuals
looking for financial guidance.
