Business Digs in Against Attempts to Reform Pension Rules

Business groups forcefully oppose any significant changes to existing pension rules. Congressional leaders, while willing to address such groups' concerns, are looking to move quickly to revamp pension rules in the wake of the Enron collapse. The House's bill is said to mirror the pension overhaul proposed by President Bush, and it will likely be voted on by the full House by mid-April.
